So we now have a single, central point of reference for information and news, and lots of flexible ways to present and subscribe to information both from within and outside the organisation. Have internal communications improved? Yes, definitely. The volume of “corporate spam” has dropped substantially, to the point where we are on the cusp of turning off our “all-staff” mailing lists. The range of information on the blog continues to expand, and more staff are starting to use it to work collaboratively.

Our hope is that, as blog & wiki practices become more common, the technology will encourage a change towards more openness and collaboration, something which we believe would benefit the NHS enormously.
